On June 5th, Youth for Service hosted its first Bay Area Youth and Digital Media Salon at the SFSU Downtown Campus. With these salons Youth for Service hopes to providing space for digital media professionals, those doing outreach for youth, and youth to form collaborations, exchange ideas, and share resources. Speakers at the June 5th salon were Arsenio Hernandez recipient of a Youth for Service scholarship and Zakiya Harris, director of Grind for the Green, a youth run, eco-friendly hip-hop conference.
